Who Are We?

The Mounting Bloc. was founded by two dedicated equestrians with a strong belief in supporting local craftsmanship. From this passion, our brand was created. At heart, we are an equestrian sports and leisure brand specialising in ladies’ baselayers and show shirts.

The Mounting Bloc is fully dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable products that reflect our commitment to local sourcing. As we expand, we are excited to introduce the exceptional quality and style of our South African-made products to the global market, with the UK at the forefront of this journey!

Behind The Brand

The Mounting Bloc. began as the brainchild of two Cape Town equestrians, Cassidy and Margot.

With a lifetime of experience with horses and a shared entrepreneurial vision, they channelled their love for the sport into The Mounting Bloc brand. They create and wear the products they design, ensuring every item reflects their personal commitment to quality.

Today, Cassidy continues to lead the brand with her all-women team based in Cape Town, South Africa. However, a new chapter is taking shape, with Lara Wallace now joining as our UK partner, spearheading the brand’s international growth and driving sales across the UK and Europe.

From our Brand Ambassadors to our innovative designer and boutique production team, we are proud to be a woman-led brand with South African roots, dedicated to leveraging local talent and resources.

Sumaya RifaiBrand Ambassador

My name is Sumaya, I’m from Jordan and I grew up with horses all my life. I played polo up until I was 18 in both Jordan and England but I fell in love with show jumping when I was about 20 and have never looked back! For the past year I have been competing internationally across Europe for Jordan with UK-based team IN Show-jumpers. I have 2 horses a 6 year old, Navarro L, and a 13 year old Catch Me P Z.

Lucy TownleyBrand Ambassador

Hi, I’m Lucy Townley. I’ve been riding for the Billy Stud for the last 12 years, producing some of the best of British bred horses from young horses to the highest level of the sport.

Some of my greatest achievements include, The Foxhunter Championship at Horse of the Year show, The Walwyn Championship at Royal Windsor, The Doney Championship at the Royal International Horse Show Hickstead. Some special days with some exceptional young horses.

I’m delighted to have the backing of The Mounting Bloc, the clothing is easy to wear everyday working with the horses and keeps me looking stylish in the ring!

Aoife O ConnerBrand Ambassador

I’m Aoife, I’ve been showjumping all my life mainly in the production and development of young horses. I’ve have been worked in Europe and America and have been lucky enough to produce young horses to compete at the young horse world championships. I’m thrilled to have the support of The Mounting Bloc to keep comfortable and stylish for the rest of the season!
